“At the age of 19, I became pregnant and my family forced me to leave home. Then a friend told me about SCO’s Independence Inn. They provided me with a safe place to stay where there were other teens like me. They gave me the stability to focus on school, get my bachelor’s degree, and then my master’s degree. Now I’m a social worker and have my own apartment and my son Justin is doing phenomenally well in school.”
